Vince Galati, President of Excel Homes, Inc., grew up around the residential construction business, as his father was a painter and a small-scale builder. From a young age, Vince knew he wanted to take the experience his family had gained and grow it to a new level. While still in high school, Vince took the Michigan Builder’s License class at age 17, but had to wait until he was 18 for the state to allow him to sit for the test. Once he turned 18, he got his license and went on to build his first two houses with his brother while he was still in high school. Upon graduation, Vince focused on developing his expertise in home building through the completion of about five homes a year. Then, in 1994, Vince started building on a larger scale when he opened his first model in Coventry subdivision located in Shelby Township.
Now, over 30 years later, Vince has built hundreds of homes for families in the Macomb County area in countless different subdivisions. His endless quest for quality has never wavered and he continues to show his on-site work ethic, visiting each home under construction personally at least twice daily. Vince garnishes his homes with well-selected features and materials and seeks out contractors based on reputation and workmanship rather than just the lowest price.
